Bach Mass in B Minor Lecture Series

Join Kevin Leong, Music Director of the Concord Chorus, on a guided listening tour of Johann Sebastian Bach’s magnificent “Mass in B Minor.” This three-lecture series will explore the various historical and musical issues surrounding the work, including its genesis, the organization of its parts, and detailed musical and textual aspects of the score.

The lectures will be presented across three Sundays — March 19, March 26, and April 2 — from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Newbury Court’s Morrison Theatre (100 Newbury Court Road) in Concord, Massachusetts.

Tickets for the entire series are $75 for general admission, $60 for seniors (65+), and $30 for students. Advanced registration is recommended due to limited seating. Visit www.concordchorus.org or call (978) 254-1551 to register.

Classroom Cantatas Online Library Opens

In 1990, the Cantata Singers developed a unique collaborative program with the Boston Public Schools, called Classroom Cantatas, in which elementary, middle and high school students create and perform their own musical “cantatas.” The program has since touched the lives of thousands of children.
