Singing with Courage: A Workshop with Jon Arterton

World Fellowship Center, Conway, New Hampshire
June 30—July 3, 2013

Each of us has a beautiful voice inside somewhere, waiting to be released. When we begin to quiet the thoughts of self-doubt and criticism that hold us back and learn to sing joyously from the heart, miracles happen. We make connection with our inner selves and discover how truly amazing we are! The "Singing with Courage" workshop gently guides us to finding our voices as we open our mouths and make sounds in a safe, supportive environment. We sing group songs together; we improvise and experiment; we laugh a lot. Since we all learn from each other, the workshop benefits experienced singers and beginners alike. Those who were told not to sing as children are especially encouraged to attend.

Treble Chorus of New England has two open positions

The Treble Chorus of New England has two part-time openings. To apply, send cover letter, résumé, and references to TCNEManager@treblechorusne.org.

1. The Treble Chorus of New England is seeking a conductor for their Training Choir. Choristers in this ensemble are 7 to 10 years old and are new to singing. Reporting to the Artistic Director, the Conductor will audition and train choristers and assist in planning programs and performances. Administrative duties include attending staff meetings, meeting with parents about students’ progress, and submitting a monthly report to the Artistic Director. The Conductor should be prepared to substitute for other artistic staff in the event of emergency. Rehearsals are on Mondays from September to June. There is a required summer workshop week in August.

Successful candidates will have 3 to 5 experience in both choral conducting and working with children. Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s preferred. Piano skills sufficient to support rehearsals are required.
